We have an opportunity for a dynamic person that can help operate this group providing operations work in a team setting, membership satisfaction and growth, work with committees while handling marketing, communications and social media. This is an opportunity to get involved in a very active local association and work together with leaders. Key parts of the position include, but not limited to:
Committee Work – While there will be several committees that the person works with, this person will be integral to all the association operations.
Events – Team up to plan events, including promotion, and execute the 5 Membership Meetings, Awards Dinner, Educational Sessions. Work with the team on the Golf Outing, Trade Show for 2,500, other special events including continuing education credits. Work with staff to plan and promote 8-10 webinars per year.
Operations - Day to day, there's a lot to do with this group. There are some high level tasks and also the day to day things that go with operating an association.
Membership Development & Retention – Through electronic and personal contact, work with existing members on key committees such as marketing, membership, emerging leaders, and more. Find potential members and communicate association value, programs to get them to join the association.
Marketing & Communications – Keep the website up to date, create new pages, post LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, produce Monthly Enewsletter, promote association events such as meetings, trade shows, webinars, activities. Work with staff recruiting writers, producing, selling and promoting the Annual Directory and Magazine.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to work independently by identifying needs and getting things done.
At The McHugh Company, we are a very hands on staff. We work at both high level activities and execute the work at the same time. We work to process all the normal things that associations have to do, which keeps the associations we serve going. We are a small group and working alongside association volunteers and colleagues is critical to success.
