70% Oversee entire athletic marketing and promotions department; Leadership of marketing staff, including graduate assistants and student volunteers; Develop department procedures and policies, goals and objectives; Develop innovative digital strategies for marketing, promotions and branding; Develop, alongside other departments, social media strategies, goals and objectives; Work in conjunction with other communications teams toward brand building objectives; Oversee development of comprehensive marketing plans for each sport; Supervision of marketing for at least one sport as assigned.
25% Work with data and analytics to develop methodologies for defining and tracking measurables and ROI; Collaborate with the department’s media rights holder and onsite staff; Support game-day operations, work with Assistant AD/Fan Engagement with in-venue promotions.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field. Five years’ experience in marketing profession with a minimum three years of that experience in college and/or professional sports. Experience utilizing data and analytics; Strong oral and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience working with coaches, sports staff and athletics administration; Knowledge of regional market and SEC.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays. Travel is required.
