The Regional Director of Sales directs, coordinates and supervises all Sales Office personnel in all sales-related activities, including direct sales efforts, follow-up, and proper sales administration. The Director of Sales is responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business for both the Rooms Department and the Food and Beverage Department in order to maximize revenue and profits for The Red Lion Inn, The Porches Inn, Hotel on North and other entities as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Ensure that all guests and team members feel welcome and are given friendly, responsive, efficient and courteous service at all times.
Manage and direct all activities of the Sales Department.
Develop a full understanding of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Front Desk and Reservations.
Develop a full understanding of company sales policies.
Design and lead sales efforts for group, non-group transient, and corporate bookings to maximize profits.
Operate within established budget.
Responsible for assigned sales segments and achieving revenue goals set forth
Support all sales initiatives to include Cross Selling among all MSH properties
Prepare sales incentive reports as required and any/all required reports in a timely manner
Initiate and follow-up on leads.
Create, maintain, direct and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
Develop and implement a continuous sales training program for all sales staff.
Maintain accurate call report and booking report files, insure sales personnel are prepared to report on activities weekly.
Conduct regular sales meetings with established goals.
Manage all business involving banquet and rooms revenue generated by Sales team.
Monitor and audit incentive compensation worksheets according to annual bonus plan.
Attend meetings as needed.
Coordinate off-premise sales activities including the scheduling of self and staff to attend trade shows, sales events, social and civic events as necessary.
Oversee and complete all initiatives as directed to the Sales Department coordinating with the Marketing Plan.
Perform annual staff performance and merit reviews.
Create and maintain excellent working rapports with Director of Revenue Management & VP of Marketing to enhance Rooms revenues
Lead Sales Team to meet or exceed sales goals established through packages, programs, promotions and other revenue generating initiatives. Actively participate in the Sales and Revenue Management function including but not limited to sales strategy meetings, REVMAX meetings, involvement in group site inspections and group closing processes, measurement tools assigned.
Deploy and mentor sales team to uncover new accounts and business. Support efforts for budgeted goal achievement.
Consistently provides new revenue generating recommendations to drive profitability.
Responsible for any tasks appointed by VP of Operations.
Specialized Experience and Knowledge:
Bachelor of Science Degree, Hospitality Management
At least 5+ sales experience within the hotel industry in Hotel Management
Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience with hotel operation systems
Skillful in project planning/tasks, budgeting and able to prioritize and multi-task projects
Self-starter able to work creatively and independently
Can work independently and lead a team
Talented and dynamic person who is able to energize the entire property team with an enthusiastic and infectious attitude for hospitality.
Proactive and result driven.
Team play and a hands-on approach to the daily needs of the hotel
