Posting Summary: The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia seeks an Assistant Director of Graduate Marketing and Recruiting. The incumbent is responsible for all of the marketing and recruiting activities for one or more graduate commerce programs. The Assistant Director plans and attends recruitment events, and cultivates relationships with top-ranked undergraduate programs in liberal arts, sciences, engineering, and business programs to effectively facilitate the recruitment process of graduate students into McIntire programs. They develop and execute effective marketing campaigns through use of digital, social, and traditional media to reach potential applicants, and leverage current students and alumni to promote graduate programs at the McIntire School of Commerce.
A Bachelor's degree required, A Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred. Three years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, or services marketing is required. Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to relate well to the career and educational needs of college students is essential. The demonstrated ability to work independently, and with a diverse team is required. Strong organizational and budgeting skills are essential. Demonstrated excellence in customer service and proven technological skills in Microsoft office are required. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's degree in higher education, business, or related field is preferred.
The incumbent must be flexible to travel throughout the U.S. and to work occasional evenings and Saturdays as necessary for recruitment events.
