Under the general direction of the Director of Communications for the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, and in conjunction with the Associate Dean of Summer Session, the Marketing Strategist is responsible for the annual development and execution of Summer Session's marketing, student recruitment and communications plan that addresses unique tactics geared to attract student populations for a variety of Summer Session courses and programs. Advise and consult with Summer Session staff on marketing and communications best practices to increase student enrollments, including the use of social media, engagement marketing/special events, published collateral, website and other electronic media. As a member of the OVPTL Communications unit, coordinate collateral production; implement e-mail campaigns; update website; participate in special events on and off campus; execute social media campaigns; and interface with campus student organization and academic departments to take advantage of joint recruitment efforts. Responsible for evaluating marketing campaigns and efforts and continually find ways to effectively recruit students to Summer Session courses and programs.
