Full Time - Experienced
About the Position
The demand for marketing experts with analytical skills is growing fast. The Marketing Department at Rutgers Business School (http://www.business.rutgers.edu) is looking to hire a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty member who can help the Department to build academic programs in marketing analytics and insights, and who will help to develop current and future programs to enhance their market value and reputation.
This is a new position for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Professional Practice and Director of the MBA-MRIA (Marketing Research Insights and Analytics) Concentration. The position can start as early as on September 1, 2018.
The position will involve a regular annual teaching load of 24 credits; however, the Center for Marketing Research will fund buying out up to 12 credits for the Director's role. After three-years, continuation of the course buy-out will depend on performance and funding availability. The courses to be offered will be primarily in the area of marketing research and marketing analytics but may also include other marketing topics in the candidate's specialty area.
As a full-time faculty member, the person who fills this role will be responsible for teaching, student counseling, and curricula review; attending faculty meetings; and taking on service responsibilities that assist the Marketing Department and Rutgers Business School. The person will be responsible for the future development of a specialty master's program and an undergraduate-level marketing analytics curriculum.
As the Director of the MRIA Concentration, the faculty member will be responsible for working closely with the MRIA Advisory Board to achieve its strategic objectives by raising funds, securing guidance on curriculum development, building outreach networks that will create job opportunities and sources of intellectual content, and planning events including job fairs and certificate programs.
