Description of Duties:
The Assistant Director of Marketing is responsible for the planning and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives at the College. The Assistant Director of Marketing will work in close collaboration with Director of Marketing & Creative Services and the Director of Communications & Public Relations to leverage marketing and communication vehicles and tools, including public relations, media relations, the alumni magazine, digital and social media, photography, video, and advertising. This position is highly skilled at motivating and leading others, including peers and team members who report to other departments. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Creative Services, the Assistant Director of Marketing will develop and execute plans that elevate awareness of the College brand, enhance the reputation of the College and support achievement of strategic goals critical to the success of the College.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in College Communications and across campus, develop an overall strategic marketing plan.
Develop and execute new strategic marketing initiatives and projects.
Work, in a collaborative way, with a variety of team members within College Communications and across campus to develop and execute initiatives.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of marketing campaigns to provide strategic recommendations.
Report on analytics and market research to inform College Communications and the campus community of the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives.
Establish positive relations and interactions within College Communications and across campus.
Contribute to the department's ongoing content marketing efforts, including managing and producing the alumni newsletter, and social media channels of the College. Assist with the administration of web content, writing, photography and video production.
Help manage digital and social media communications strategy. Stay abreast of and capitalize on social media trends. Help develop and maintain the day-to-day "voice" of the College in social media and web platforms, providing both proactive and responsive communications.
Help develop and implement web marketing strategies and campaigns in support of the College's enrollment goals as well as other constituent group projects through social media channels, creative writing and communications content creation.
Oversee social media programs that have measurable, beneficial results. Ensure that content adheres to SEO best practices.
Work effectively as a liaison between various departments/users to ensure that services, quality and costs are balanced.
Provide customer service to both internal and external customers with fairness, respect and dignity.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency by quickly adapting to new technology and readily acquiring new technical skills.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional and personal networks.
Alter schedule when necessary to accommodate work requirements.
Continuously assess outcomes and improve processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably managing marketing efforts in a multifaceted organization (higher education institution a plus).
Excellent track record of leading collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent project development and management skills.

Position Status: Non-unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday, nights and weekends may be required.
Salary: $61,280.00 - $79,664.00
