The Marketing Communications Executive is responsible for leading the strategy and developing and implementing all aspects of marketing and communication plans for his/her hospital and assigned system services lines. This effort will positively influence target audiences, increase utilization of services and fulfill other strategic business objectives. Additionally, the marketing executive will set and manage the annual budget for his/her hospital and/or service lines to achieve maximum efficiencies and effectiveness. The marketing executive experiences significant autonomy as the front-line marketing person for their respective hospital. As primary communications executive for their hospital, the Marketing Executive will provide operating unit-specific internal communications support, working collaboratively with the system internal communications team, the operating unit Human Resources professionals and departmental/unit contacts. The Marketing Executive develops, manages and maintains positive relationships with the media to strongly enhance the image and identity of all Inova Health System entities. The Marketing Executive will monitor and research the latest clinical advances in medicine at Inova facilities and identify key growth initiatives and innovative medical advances to promote to the press as they relate to Inova's strategic plan, mission, vision, beliefs and commitments. The Marketing Executive will serve an integral role in helping Inova manage its response to crises and issues of significant concern to the organization and the public, including 24/7 on call responsibilities as assigned in the coverage of these activities. Fulfills the public information officer (PIO) role for a designated hospital.
