Under limited supervision, develops and executes strategy for one or more marketing initiatives. Resolves problems and makes recommendations related to complex matters and projects. Provides specialist-level analysis in one or more marketing disciplines. Recommends project budgets and forecasts anticipated budget spending. Coaches others in less senior positions.
The FedEx Delivery Manager product manager will be responsible for defining and implementing an innovative Global product strategy and roadmap. The successful candidate will transform how FedEx consumer recipients manage their shipments to ensure successful deliveries. The product manager will own the strategy, product roadmap, business requirements and investment justification needed to ensure product leadership.
This position has a high level of exposure throughout FedEx. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills. The chosen candidate must be able to communicate a clear product vision and an actionable strategy to both business and technical partners.
Knowledge and Skills Considered a Plus:
Product Management: Analyzing market trends, customer feedback, competitive information and product metrics to define an actionable product strategy and a prioritized product roadmap. Develop the product requirements needed to direct product enhancements. Measure and report product performance and insights.
...Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to build and to maintain strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders including executive management. ...Communication: Proven ability to communicate / present across all FedEx organizational levels. Demonstrated excellence at building cohesive and engaging presentations that drive decisions. ...Project Management: Proven ablity to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, in order to ensure the successful product features launch.
Proven ability to partner with key groups to conduct industry, competitive, user experience research needed to build an actionable product strategy and roadmap.
Proven ability to continually monitor customer feedback, market trends and competitive offerings to identify new opportunities to fill product gaps that drive growth.
Proven use of Quality Driven Management (QDM)/Six Sigma principals to monitor product performance to use results to update the product strategy and product roadmap.
Demonstrated ability to build a prioritized product roadmap based on customer value, investment needed and ROI.
Experience working across teams and projects to get support for the product roadmap and deliverables.
Experience supporting the team effort to maintain a 4+year product roadmap that ensures product leadership.
Experience providing ongoing Product Evangelism to ensure key influencers, stakeholders, partners and customers understand the value of the product and provide necessary support.
Experience with Software and/or Web product management.
Experience with Digital User Design and/or Design Thinking
Proven knowledge of Agile-SAFE and/or Waterfall development methodologies
Proven analytical / financial analysis skills
Experience in leading the development of digital solutions from strategy through to execution

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Marketing, Finance, Computer Science or related business discipline. Three (3) years experience in marketing, advertising, sales administration, or related discipline. Knowledge of the broad application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in marketing disciplines, project management and information analysis. Strong human relations and communication/presentationskills. Moderately advanced organizational, quantitative and analytical skills, including experience in database marketing. Experience leading moderately complex initiatives in a corporate environment. Customer-focused orientation.
