The senior manager is responsible for developing and executing four major functional areas/initiatives: 1) general marketing, communication, media relations and branding for the Society 2) the creation, development, and maintenance of all Society publications including social media, 3) oversight of the development and maintenance of the Society website and other electronic communication technology integrated marketing.
The senior manager will develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies that will enhance the membership and raise awareness of the Society and its activities.
The senior manager will provide strategic direction and financial planning of the Department as it relates to the Societies strategic goals. The senior manager will lead departmental collaboration across the Society to coordinate and enhance marketing and communication strategies and oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to increase member awareness of ASNC benefits and increase engagement in Society activities.
The senior manager will oversee and direct in the management of the ASNC website and work across the Society for maintaining, modifying and monitoring internet based documents and websites. This includes the development of promotional concepts, copy, and package designs based on analysis of marketing, sales and other competitive data.
Key to success of this position is: organization, diplomacy, and the ability to work independently and concurrently with a number of internal/external clients and programs.
Develop and direct comprehensive marketing and communication plans to align with the Societies strategic goals.
Develop and manage budgets of the Department.
Direct and supervises and motivates staff successfully to achieve professional goals as they relate to the Society.
Direct and oversee communication programs that effectively inform members and describe and promote the Society and it products and benefits.
Direct and coordinate all Society publications, newsletters and electronic communications.
Oversee the development of appropriate brochures and other print marketing resources.
Develop and enhance the Societies press distribution list
Serve as the primary marketing liaison to the JNC and coordinate with managing editor to ensure an effective editorial management process.
Represent the Society at key events as needed.
Oversee the development and execution of marketing and communications campaigns.
Direct the development of member communications both via the Society web site and other electronic technology.
Oversee the development of segment strategies.
Track and report promotion costs and marketing effectiveness.
Lead the analysis of marketing and competitive data for sales and membership.
Develop and coordinate talking points, white papers, memos, blogs web pages slides as needed for staff, members and volunteer leadership.
Lead the development and implementation distinct member segmentation profiles, including purchasing behavior, product interest, professional focus, demographics and make adjustments to campaigns as necessary.
Serve as Committee liaison as assigned.
