This position reports to the US Project Management Lead in the OAPI Marketing Operations Organization. Marketing Operations provides operational support and project management for PRC process working cross-functionally as a liaison with OAPI Brand, Functional Teams, Regulatory, Legal and Medical.
The individual selected for this position will be primarily responsible for providing organizational and operational support to the PRC coordinators and brand marketing teams. This position will provide direct support for planning, prioritizing and as a liaison for cross-functional interactions across the PRC process. The position will also be responsible for evaluating PRC metrics and identifying and implementing opportunities for change that will result in optimization and efficiency to the PRC process. This role will be the project manager for all enhancements and changes in the PRC process and Veeva Vault workflows.
This role includes working cross-functionally with all commercial departments including: Brand Teams, Data and Analytics, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Training, Regulatory, Legal, Promotional Compliance, and others. This position may also require coordination with Otsuka affiliates.
The Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations will play a crucial role in supporting the current PRC process as well as future needs to support the business while balancing opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
The right candidate for this position will not only have strong project management skills, but also the ability to think strategically, adding value to the PRC process basic operations. Examples include problem solving, anticipating challenges, relationship building, process improvement, and structuring presentations.
Lead PRC Prioritization
Liaison with PRC coordinators, brand teams and functional team leads o Partner with Brand Leadership to understand brand strategy, tactics and priorities o Gather/ synthesize relevant competing priorities o Facilitate prioritization discussions and assist with navigating the process Evaluating PRC Metrics and Process Improvements o Works closely with Data and Analytics to capture, report and analyze PRC workflow metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and opportunities to maintain or replicate positive outcomes PRC Process Improvements o Develop and manage process improvement projects in collaboration with brand teams, regulatory, legal, medical and other cross-functional departments
Cross Functional Collaboration o Work collaboratively across Marketing Operations Brand Project Managers to understand brand priorities o Work with Marketing Operations colleagues who are impacted by the PRC process; Literature Distribution Warehouse, Print Team, Brand and Non-Brand PMs o Participate in the planning and organization of POA, Sales and Launch meetings to ensure strategic understanding of meeting objectives to apply to PRC prioritization
Required: BA/BS degree Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to achieve established deadlines Expertise / past working experience in a pharmaceutical PRC/MLR process Expertise in independently managing large projects with multiple workstreams Experience partnering directly with brand teams and brand leadership PowerPoint and deck creation skills Results-driven with a high sense of urgency and accountability: ability to meet business objectives, deliverables, and timely completion of initiatives with a cross-functional team High standards for accuracy in written and verbal communication Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong managerial, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to function effectively under conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity, and ability to navigate competing demands 6-10 years of pharmaceutical industry and/or PRC or marketing operations experience Strong capability as an adaptive learner Experience/understanding of Veeva Vault
Preferred: Experience with workflow and workload evaluation Experience analyzing data/processes workflows to identify opportunities for improvement Experience creating senior leadership presentations Strong Excel skills
