The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Marketing and Communications Specialist position in the Marketing and Communications Department of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration (CBA). The Marketing and Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for project management and marketing coordination, event photography, writing, social media management, website content management, and internal branding.
The incumbent will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of internal and external marketing campaigns to various stakeholders. The specialist will collaborate with a variety of teams and play an integral role within Pitt Business. Technical acumen for website development, social media tools and written expertise is necessary for this role.
- Project Management and Marketing Coordination: Employee will work directly with external and internal teams to strategize, manage, and execute a variety of marketing and communications campaigns to external and internal stakeholders.
- Writing: Employee will support various publication channels, including content for Katz/CBA websites, e-newsletters, and Alumni Magazines.
- Photography: Employee will photograph Katz/CBA events with occasional nights/weekends required
- Social Media: Employee will manage social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
Continuously innovate to bring fresh and creative ideas to posts. Conduct social media audits on competitors, and monitors and analyzes posts to increase engagement.
-Website Content Management: Employee will support the development and maintenance of the Katz/CBA websites, including updating current content, adding new content, and troubleshooting and responding to issues related to the sites. Works closely with the School's and University's IT departments and external vendors as necessary to complete assignments.
-Internal branding: Employee follows University branding standards to create and maintain digital graphics for internal departments.
-Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related area
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
-Proficiency with Google Analytics and social media analytics tools
-Previous experience managing social media accounts required
-Previous experience with event photography and accompanying programs required
-Drupal experience preferred
