The New Jewish Home (TNJH) seeks a full time Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications to join our team. The Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications will sit in our 106th Upper Manhattan location.
The Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications leads a team of marketing and communications professionals, and works closely with colleagues to guide overall organizational growth and strategy. The Sr. Director will serve as an essential communication strategist and storyteller, and will create and implement an integrated strategic communications plan.

General Duties and Responsibilities include:
Lead and oversee the development and execution of messaging, strategy, and all marketing materials in support of Business Development (B2B and B2C) and Fund Development.
Collaborate with Human Resources and organizational leadership on internal communications and development of organizational culture.
Manage the development, editing, and production of communications, including social media; website; blogs and other online outlets; interactive resources, such as infographics; research reports, briefs, presentations; the annual report; online newsletters; and videos.
Track the impact and reach of efforts, including web and social media analytics, as well as interactions with other organizations and policymakers.
Exercise judgment to prioritize media opportunities, and oversee the preparation of talking points, speeches, presentations, and other supporting material as needed.
Support the President & CEO and other leadership members to create and prepare for media opportunities and presentations.
Cultivate relationships with decision makers, influencers, allied organizations, and emerging partners to achieve common goals.
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the communications function, including budgeting, planning, and staff development.
Coordinate and manage a communications team of 4 direct reports and relationships with key vendors and across organizational business lines.
This position will report directly to the Chief Development Officer.
Qualifications: - Professional, educational
7-10 years of experience in marketing communications, public relations, or journalism
Demonstrated track record of positioning an organization to achieve measurable outcomes in a competitive communications environment
Knowledge of a variety of mass and alternative media
Expertise in the fundamentals of multiple disciplines, including the principles and ethics of public relations, promotion, marketing, business communication, planning, and budgeting
Extensive writing and editing experience with skills in a variety of print and online communications media
Ability to identify mutually beneficial partnerships through sponsorships and cause marketing
Demonstrated use of social media to engage and deepen relationships with the media and public
Ability to simultaneously lead multiple, complex projects in varying stages of development under time pressure with minimal supervision
Strong negotiation, collaboration, time management, organization and interpersonal skills
Excellent judgement and creative problem solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Familiarity with the field of aging, heath care, volunteerism and/or intergenerational programming is a plus
Demonstrated, strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
