TheMarketing/CommunicationsDirectorisresponsibleforleadingandgrowingmanyaspects of Sinai Akiba Academy’s reach in the community. As an innovative, entrepreneurial, and seasoned marketing professional, the Marketing/Communications Director designs and implements a strategic and comprehensive marketing plan to advance the SAA brand in Los Angeles. This position is also responsible for managing all digital marketing platforms including, but not limited to, the website and social media platforms. The Marketing/Communications Director is an active member of a highly collaborative Administrative Team.
Create targeted, segmented marketing plans to engage parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, vendors, and faculty and staff.
Assist Advancement and Admissions Departments in designing strategies and identifying opportunities to communicatethe SAA brand to the community.
Develop, build, and retain positive relationships with diverse internal and externalconstituents.
Oversee marketing and community outreach calendars for all constituent groups.
Develop and manage relationships on behalf of the School with local media outlets, including Jewish organizations, both local and national.
Serve asbrand manager to ensure consistency in all SAA letters, apparel, and materials.
Manage the website and social media platforms ensuring SAA is consistently creating and delivering intriguing content.
Examine and analyze site traffic (in tandem with external partners).
Regularly check website to see if there are any pages that are out-of-date, inaccurate or difficult to use.
Stay current on programs, positioning and marketing and communication strategies developed by peer schools.
Monitor program results and provide ongoing analysis and evaluation to meet and exceed goals.
Recommend and implement changes in strategy to meet program goals and objectives.
Support Division Directors and other Administrators with their communication needs.
Document events, activities, and stories during the school year through photos, videos, and writing.
Oversee production of all school print, web, and video publications.
Develop and manage policies and procedures relating to communications internally and externally.
Produce and write copy for SAA communications including push pages, website, viewbook, annual report and more.
Work closely with, and coordinate with, graphic designer.
Readiness to support and promote Sinai Akiba Academy’s mission.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
Minimum three years marketing management or related experience.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write in the voice of the School to generate story content used for both internal and external marketing.
Strong organizational skills to handle the various demands of the school’s communications.
Entrepreneurial and collaborative approach to marketing.
A big-picture, strategic thinker who is flexible, highly detail oriented, able to multi-task easily, and has impeccable follow-through on projects.
