![]() UI/UX Marketing & Design Specialist Primary Purpose: Enrollment Marketing at University of Pacific seeks a creative, collaborative and detail-oriented individual to serve as a UI/UX marketing and design specialist. The selected individual will be primarily responsible for creating designs and user interfaces to achieve the university's enrollment marketing objectives. They will design and refine reusable components that comprise an elegant, flexible system used to create a unified experience across a wide range of digital platforms. This individual will enhance the visual approach to the university's most important enrollment management and related sites. The person in this position will report to the Director of User Engagement Strategy. Essential Functions: 1. Initiate, conceptualize and lead user interface design based on a thorough understanding of the Universitys enrollment management goals. 2. Translate conceptual design into visually compelling design elements. 3. Communicate user interface design implementation to other departments in the form of detailed specifications and design documents. 4. Design marketing, pricing and other admission and financial aid information web site pages. 5. Design user interface that is consistent with the Universitys brand strategy. 6. Push the limits of digital marketing design and implement best of breed technologies, including but not limited to the latest digital technologies and mobile/smartphone user interface. 7. Share UI/UX knowledge and best practices with other members of the Enrollment Marketing team. 8. Contributes to the overall success of the Office of Enrollment Management and the University by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: At least two (2) years of professional experience in UI/UX design and/or marketing; should include conceptualizing, designing and producing user-centered digital assets. Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud. One plus (1+) years of frontend development experience (e.g. HTML, CSS, SQL). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Drupal a plus. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. An iterative, systems-based approach to design. A strong portfolio that demonstrates knowledge of user interface and exceptional design skills. Success with meeting deadlines, multi-tasking and serving as UI/UX design lead on projects of various sizes. Experience doing user testing of design options. Animation skills. Higher education experience. Attention to detail and accuracy in all phases of work. Ability to communicate well both in writing and orally with a variety of individuals, including faculty, administrators and other staff at University of the Pacific, as well as external partners. Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices related to digital marketing. Ability to provide design options and recommendations. A commitment to following the brand guidelines of the University.
