The Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications serves as a member of the School’s leadership team and is responsible for advancing Westmark’s regional, state and national visibility and reputation, growing brand awareness, and promoting the School’s unique position in the marketplace as a leader in learning differences education. The Director reports to the Director of Advancement and together with the Head of School works to further identify and build partnerships with colleges, universities and other organizations and in planning symposia, conferences and ground-breaking summits to bring together thought leaders in educating students with learning differences. The Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications oversees all internal and external marketing communications activities including messaging and branding, publications, social media, digital communications, web presence, advertising, media relations, crisis communications, and Advancement communications. The incumbent also works closely with the Director of Admissions to widely market the school to potential applicants. Challenges and Opportunities
