The ideal human for this role is communicative, detail-oriented and excited to experiment and explore new creatives ideas and channels while delivering complex content to our audiences we can measure. They have a keen understanding of project management and people management, possessing the ability to create realistic schedules, see a few steps ahead, and after launch, derive meaningful insights from data. While nested in a large organization, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for digital content, social platforms and marketing.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES:
The Content Marketing Manager is a critical role when it comes to establishing deep connections with the audiences we serve today. Marketers work closely with cross-functional partners (Research, Comms, Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Social Marketing and Regional Marketing) to define timing and priorities, develop and deploy activations and toolkits, and bring our content to life in-market.
You will collaborate with brand and product marketing managers, becoming a trusted advisor as you create and execute plans that help them translate big go-to-market ideas into searing content strategies. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple content projects, developing and execute global activation plans and leading the strategic planning and creative development of audience engagement materials that support the content marketing efforts of our flagship global research pieces, market leading viewpoints, and events
You will be challenged daily to:
Manage workflow in pursuit of developing and disseminating world class content
Actively maintain campaign calendar and ensure stakeholders are informed and considered
Evaluate performance and make recommendations to continually refine overarching content marketing principles and individual content marketing plans.
Ensure all content maintains brand standards and oversee creative approvals for all marketing materials
Identify the latest trends in content marketing materials, platforms, and technology
Develop and implement multichannel marketing plans in concert with divisional and corporate partners
Collaborate with external freelancers, and marketing services vendors to develop marketing materials for all channel applications
Evaluate marketing programs and campaigns across multiple criteria
Collaborate with other marketing managers to drive market research needed to assist in strategic planning, goal setting, and results tracking
Serve as liaison to marketing teams to ensure each group is properly aligned to deliver marketing programs
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in marketing, business, communications and/or relevant field of study preferred. Minimum of 5 years with preference for 6+ years of experience in content strategy, content creation and social media management at an agency, publisher and/or high-growth brand Minimum of 5 years with preference for 5 - 7 years of experience in digital marketing, content marketing, social marketing, online events marketing Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational functions Handles multiple deliverables at once Outstanding communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in telling a cohesive story Focused on problem solving A no task is too small attitude PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience independently owning and managing a strategic program by defining and executing on key deliverables Ability to take initiative and act proactively Experience managing large amounts of data, including customer segments and online campaign metrics Understanding of both online and offline marketing strategy development and data-driven channel execution
