Group Strategic Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing and research to differentiate - and elevate - our brand from the rest of the competition.
People of Purpose (PoP) is DBS' corporate volunteerism movement, which seeks to enable employees to create an impact in the communities by volunteering their time, skills and resources. The focus areas of the bank have been in the areas of elderly, environment and education - along with these, we have also been working to support a movement Towards Zero Food Waste, as well as support communities hard-hit by Covid-19 regionally in 2020. We believe that as a purpose driven people, we can make a real positive difference in the communities we operate in, and in so doing, contribute to the bank's broader sustainability agenda.
Lead the development and execution of volunteering programmes through working with external and internal partners
Align and agree the overall plan, key KPIs and targets for the year, follow a data-driven approach to track and measure progress
Work with the cross-functional team to execute POP plans for the year
Develop and execute a compelling strategic communications plan for People of Purpose to inspire, engage and share stories of employees
Engage with regional GSMC colleagues to align and execute focus areas and plans through the year
Mobilise employees to participate in the volunteerism movement as part of the purpose driven culture in the bank
Inspire and build a community of DBS People of Purpose within the bank through a systematic strategic internal communications approach and regular engagement with key BUs/Sus/stakeholders
Bachelor Degree with minimum of 5 years work experience in a corporate environment, specifically with corporate volunteerism including experience in communications and community building
Passionate about engaging people and able to inspire people to action
Excellent story-telling, writing and communications skills; familiarity with Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is a plus.
Experience in working and developing partnerships with social enterprises/social service organisations/NGOs/government
Must be able to work independently in a lean team, with minimal supervision.
Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.Volunteer or internship experience in the social enterprise / charity space should be highlighted.
