WORK SCHEDULE:

• The hours and days of work may vary widely depending on the time needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. 

• This position requires some night and weekend work.

• Able to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments

• Willing to travel to off-site performances at alternative venue locations
  
  
  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Prepare and execute comprehensive marketing and promotional campaigns for individual events to increase ticket sales and maximize revenue

• Coordinate announcements and on-sale schedules with ASH Live team and artist’s management agencies.   

• Manage event budget and post-event evaluations

• Implements audience communication and promotions that are consistent with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s mission and values in equity and inclusion. 

• Code and submit all invoicing to Accounting Department

• Work with Vice President on popular artists, touring parties, and guest conductor offers to management agencies

• Define cross-marketing strategies to create, develop, and implement new online marketing & social media strategies including the distribution of targeted e-cards & social media engagement/content management.

• Ensure all marketing campaigns are designed and implemented within budget and aligned to the strategic plan and business objectives 

• Manage relationships within market and out-of-market media partners

• Effectively buy media and establish promotions with radio, TV, print, outdoor and online organizations

• Work with other arts organizations to cross-promote within the market

• Coordinate pre-show and day of show press with independent publicists and managers. 

• Ensure all promotional materials are implemented consistently across all platforms including website, social media, e-mail blasts and all other media outlets. 

• Manage grassroots promotions and street team efforts

• Work with Sales and Marketing teams to increase brand awareness and to ensure compliance across all marketing communication channels, including print and digital

• Work with senior staff on strategic planning to ensure new audience growth across series

• Conduct end of fiscal year marketing analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth

• Responsible for marketing budgets per event and non-event expenditures

• Manage all e-mail blasts, communications, and newsletters to patrons

• Maintain social media platforms

• Assist in updating website

• Schedule emails, promotions, and outlet promotions through Ticketmaster

• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• B.A. degree in Marketing or Communications

• 3-5 years in responsible marketing roles

• Experience in event marketing and concert promotions

• Knowledge of live entertainment industry business models

• Expert in social media platforms

• Experience in Microsoft Office applications, as well as Ticketmaster and Archtics

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Work in a fast-paced environment and execute multiple events simultaneously

• Skilled in multi-tasking and organizing resources to accomplish goals.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people.

• Must have superb written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

• Ability to work under pressure with a broad spectrum of personalities.

• Knowledge of a wide range of music genres
