The University of New Mexico Athletics department is seeking an assistant director of athletics marketing to join our team. This individual will be a key part of the marketing team, and will lead marketing and revenue generation efforts for assigned sports while assisting with other sports as needed.
The primary duty is to lead marketing and revenue generation efforts for assigned UNM athletics programs including Lobo women's basketball. Other sport possibilities include Lobo volleyball and baseball, but will ultimately be assigned at the time of hire.
Act as game producer at assigned sports, writing game scripts, overseeing music/PA and on court events, and working with production staff for videoboard content. Sports would include women's basketball and other sports assigned.
Oversee UNM Athletics intern program under the supervision of the Assistant AD for Marketing.
Act as liaison to UNM student groups.
Some design and execution of promotional materials.
Assist in social media presence for assigned sports.
Coordinate UNM Athletics Send-A-Kid Program.
Coordinate UNM Football pregame tailgate area fan zone.
If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience with college athletics or professional sports related events coordination.
Experience writing marketing plans and working in an intercollegiate or professional sports marketing setting.
Some experience with graphic design and/or video editing.
Strong knowledge in composing and editing written materials.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of colleagues and constituents.
