Independently lead Business Insights in support of the Hematology and or Solid Tumor franchise as part of the SDDI group. In partnership with Franchise Analytics, the director is responsible for providing high level market research support to provide significant insights that enable effective decision-making. The Director will demonstrate the ability to work independently with a proactive approach to meet business needs and deadlines. This candidate will be expected to collaborate effectively with Global colleagues.
What will you be responsible for? *With input from the brand team(s), set and manage the analytical course for each brand and indication, across primary and secondary sources. *Define and scope business needs to support requests and questions from the franchise or function *Role model a culture of insight-based decision making across Novartis leadership in research, development, commercial, manufacturing and support functions. *Deep technical expertise with key accountability for a significant project, business activity. *Lead and empower the team dedicated to Hematology market research while providing guidance and coaching. *Develop and execute roadmap for the team to innovate by transforming the way to solve a problem using Market Research and Insight Mining. *Strategically coordinate, prioritize, and efficiently allocate the team resources to critical initiatives: *Plan resources proactively, anticipate and actively manage change, set stakeholder expectations as required, identify operational risks and enable the team to drive issues to resolution, balance multiple priorities and minimize surprise escalations. *Design, develop and deliver various market research projects for timely, workable and proactive decision making. *Build and lead the franchise-embedded insights team to establish a culture of data curiosity, critical thinking, and an evidence-based recommendation mindset *Build functional expertise and core business capabilities within the therapeutic area or specific function *Help the franchise identify, implement, and socialize best practices for business capabilities by leveraging functional expertise *Develop and manage strategic planning effort to best support the franchise or function vision and roadmap through supporting activities such as business case development and benefit/attainment measurement *Proactively seek out, evaluate, and implement new insight methods and supporting elements including data sources, and tools that improve delivery to support business requests/questions *Conduct Market Research to understand market dynamics, new product positioning and to support forecast modeling assumptions. *Collaborate with US colleagues in similar disease areas to ensure an aligned marketing approach *Collaborate with Global colleagues to ensure aligned positioning strategy
